Curtis Brightwell

Curtis is the Director of Safety and Operator Qualification (OQ) at Applied Consultants. He began his career in the oil and gas industry in 2006 as a Safety Coordinator on the Haynesville Shale. Over the years, Curtis has served as a Safety Coordinator and/or Occupational Qualifier for numerous major oil and gas companies and contractors, including TransCanada, Chesapeake, Northern Natural Gas, and Willbros.

Curtis holds several industry-recognized certifications. He is a Veriforce Evaluator and an NCCER Master Trainer, with additional NCCER certifications as a Construction Site Safety Technician and Construction Site Safety Master. From 2011 to 2012, he served as the West Texas Divisional Safety Representative for BHP on the Permian Basin Shale.

Curtis joined Applied Consultants in 2012 as a Pipeline Inspector on the Eagle Ford Shale. He worked his way up to Lead Inspector before being brought in-house as Safety and OQ Manager. Today, he leads the company’s safety and qualification programs as Director of Safety / OQ.
